Examination entry

Our national centre number is  •  50465

We are an examinations centre for both the AQA board and Cambridge Assessment, so all of our students can take their AQA A-level and GCSE exams at the college. You can also register for STEP, BMAT, MAT, ELAT and a variety of other specific entry examinations organised by Cambridge Assessment, together with English Language quaifications.

EXTERNAL STUDENTS are welcome to apply to take their examinations with us (but please ensure that you are properly prepared in advance). Please contact us with your requirements using the form below, and we will respond as soon as possible.

ENTRY FEES must be paid in advance (normally by the beginning of February for exams that year) - please note that exam boards will charge extra for late entries. You can expect to pay approximately 80 GBP per GCSE subject, and 175 GBP per A-level subject (a bit more for sciences due to the practical work requirement). These amounts are just to help you budget - we will give you a precise figure when you apply for examination entry.

DEADLINE DATES for exam entry are normally mid-February, although late entries can be made until mid-April. Please note that exam boards make an extra charge for late entry, and we cannot refund fees after the entries deadline.

ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS applications must be made by the middle of February, so if you currently have arrangements in place for extra time or additional facilities, or you need to apply for them, you must tell us about this when applying. Please note that a new application may be required, regardless of any arrangements at your previous institution.

RESITS can be taken in the summer exam period, and non-examined asessments can be carried forward. GCSE Maths and English can also be taken in early November.
